There are loads of definitions out there for Executive Coaching, but this is mine:
A series of powerful conversations for senior leaders with a thinking partner who will listen with a focus that is uncommon and offer challenge and support to help them find their own answers to make significant progress on important topics.

"Richard has merged theoretical and practical approaches to encourage me to think about things differently, and to try new approaches to my work (and personal life). He is immensely personable and collaborative, but also challenges me when necessary, in thoughtful and smart ways. He clearly worked out very quickly how I like to process thoughts and situations, and, while he has incredible empathy and sensitivity to the situations and scenarios we discuss together, he challenges me in very effective ways. Through his coaching, I have started to be much more conscious of my reactions to external and internal triggers, and to react in more thoughtful (and experimental!) ways." - Senior marketing manager - Retail
"I have had coaching before, but Rich has changed my opinion of what I think is possible through coaching. He listens so well and quickly finds the nub of issues, helping me to explore any points of resistance. I understand my reactions to things and my thought processes much more clearly now. He's a great coach and I would love to have been able to have his services for longer!" - Exec team member - Housing
"There is no doubt in my mind that Richard helped me to get promoted. He introduced me to ways of thinking and understanding the talent process differently so that I could take control of my career. I don't think I could have done it without him!" - Director - Aerospace
"Coaching has been a new experience for me and it was refreshing to be able to share my challenges in a safe space. Rich listens and challenges my assumptions. The questions and sharing aims to draw out a personal response, but sharpens the thinking by taking out or challenging external factors." - CFO Asia region - Financial Services
